Handmade Paper

made from Bamboo and Mulberry

We would like to introduce these fine handmade paper products from Northern Thailand where a small, family owned paper mill produces them. The owner, named Supan Promsen, is himself a painter and has been making paper since 1986. He uses both Japanese and European techniques in his paper making process. Currently his paper is exported to the Netherlands and Canada. These handmade paper products are made of Mulberry or Bamboo fibers. They are internally sized and are especially made for use by artists. They are most suitable for watercolor painting, calligraphy, pastels and printing. The papers are acid-free and chlorine-free.
